Around 1890 to 1910, the very first license plates started appearing on automobiles. Today, they have spawned an entire antique license plate market!

The Netherlands first introduced their plates in 1898. The numbering system seemed obvious at the time, just start at the number one. By August of 1899, the number had climbed to 168. By January 1906, the Dutch changed things up and the last plate that was issued had a number of 2065.

Porcelain baked on iron was how some of the first plates were made. This practice was soon replaced because they were so easily damaged.

Early on, plates were made in many different ways, but in 1957 a standard was set which came from an agreement from the auto manufacturers and the United States government and other international standards.

If only I would be given the chance to live outside my country, for sure I would not have any doubt in choosing to be somewhere in Mexico. Living in Mexico would probably be one of the best experiences that I cannot trade for anything else. I have been there for the nth time, and every time I am there it is like being home away from home. The place is simply amazing, not to mention the climate which is so comforting and most of all the people are so nice to be with. I never had any dull moment in such a wonderful place. Thus, if I am to decide to live there, it will not be a head breaking thing to do.

The soundtrack was chock full of great Spanish guitarists for me to try and find. My iTunes account is going to have a lot of money flowing towards it over the coming weeks. I absolutely love finding and enjoying new music, it is one of my top 3 favorite pastimes.
