Is there anything more hurtful than finding out that the one person that you loved the most does not love you that much anymore? That he or she is somehow attached to someone else, perhaps in a lesser degree than his or her attachment to you, but still attached? Would that be not hurtful? Sometimes emotional cheating happens despite the conscious effort of the person to stop it. We can never really say that those people who got into emotional cheating are guilty or not of anything, because we really do not have the power to know so much but then it all boils down to our choices in the end. We just have to bear in mind that even things like the emotional cheating is something we can get over with.
