When working on the dairy and making things such as cottage cheese, and other varieties of cheese as well as fresh dairy butter, I was always thankful to have the very best butter crock available to store that fresh butter. I like to use butter on just about everything I eat and of course for cooking there is nothing better you can use to enhance the flavor. Storing the butter can be a problem without a proper crock made of the very best materials buy craftsmen who know and love their work. My butter crock is an important part of my kitchen.

It seems like every generation has an event that all of them remember. For my mom, it was the assassination of President Kennedy. But for my generation, it is the day that the planes flew into the twin towers. I still remember exactly what I was doing when I got the shocking news. It was the first day of school, and I was running around frantically getting my kids ready. A friend called me and told me to turn on the television. For the next several hours, we were all glued to the news. Needless to say, the kids were late to school that day.

I always thought of myself as a thin person with a lot of discipline, but began to seriously doubt both of those facts  when I turned forty.  To begin with, I gained fifteen pounds and could not get it off, no matter what I ate.  Within two years I lost and gained fifty pounds and probably ran a thousand miles on my treadmill.  However the programs required so much stamina, time, and effort that I would soon fall back on old habits.  One day a friend told me about Fat Loss 4 Idiots and I tried it.  I was amazed when I lost my extra weight almost effortlessly.  It has stayed off and I never miss a chance  to tell friends about the plan.

I just heard about this neat grassroots effort that is aimed at changing the withholding of income taxes. The idea is that in order for people to be more informed about how much they pay in taxes and where they go, the government must stop withholding taxes from paychecks, and start making people pay them at once. The idea is a good one; the government started withholding taxes in 1943 to help the war effort, and never stopped. Basically, nothing would change except the method of tax collection. It would be revenue neutral, and would put people in touch with what taxes they are paying. Makes sense to me!

Everytime I see new Pastry stuff from Daddys Girls out I get very excited.  there are even more goodies out for us now.  They are Sunglasses. I just wanna know why they are waiting til August to release them.  Don’t they know summer ends in August.  Oh well, at least we will have them in time to wear to school and show off to our friends and foes alike.  They are supose to be coming out with some readers too.  They should do the sunglasses now and the readers in August in time for school.  Know what I mean. Maybe they are just trying to make sure they have plenty to go around when they release them so they don’t have too many angry fans.

You may think that people like Donald Trump are immune to the credit crunch that has hit the US in particular from 2008 through to now. However when you look a little into how the world’s leading business men and women are doing then it is a little alarming. I have to say that I don’t feel too sad as they are far richer than I could ever imagine to be, but it still tells you just how deep this crisis is. For example I recently saw the latest so called rich list, which is a list of the top 100 richest people in the world. Many had lost billions overnight.

In 1955 my parents took us to Canada for a two week vacation.  We all looked forward to the trip as this would be our first trip outside of the United States.   What we did not expect was a Hurricane Advisory on the Great Lakes.   About the same time that we started driving north in the mid west,  a hurricane started moving up the Atlantic seaboard.  It came inland and began to slow down but there were still strong winds that swept across the lakes and got to Detroit about the same time we did.  My brother and I loved seeing the large waves come crashing ashore.

Many of us run our of time and space in our memory for everything we have to do and remember. We all have schedules and deadlines and family members who have them too. Between all of the sporting events my children have and deadlines I have for work I’m lucky to remember them all. The last thing on my mind is remembering what day and time I have to return the movies we rent over the weekends. I got tired of paying late fees and found a solution. I now do ares downloads for all of our movies. I never have to remember when to take back our movies because they are now burned to our own DVDs.

Remember that during the month of February, orders will be submitted through the mail. (Starting March 1st, all orders will be entered by the Demonstrator on UL Express.) Here are some items to remember during February as you mail in your orders:

• You must design each custom item ordered using the Design Tool and print out a copy of the design (use the “Print Order Form” button on the Design Tool form). Attach this printout to the associated Customer Order Form.

• You must send in the white (top) copy of each Customer Order Form. (This is the Uppercase Living Demonstrator copy. If you want to retain a copy of these orders, please make a photocopy during February. In March, you will be able to retain the white copy.)

• Please batch your orders by Open House. (If you send in Individual Customer Orders with Open House orders, please make sure it is very clear which ones belong with the Open House and which ones do not.)

• Send in the Hostess Totaling Form with all Open House Orders: During the month of February, you MUST send in the completed Hostess Totaling form. (The Hostess will fill out most of this form as she totals her Open House. You (the Demonstrator), will fill out the shaded portion at the bottom called Total – Remit to Uppercase Living. You will need to help the Hostess understand how to complete this form.) This form allows the Hostess to calculate AND order her Hostess Rewards. It also helps you calculate the amount you (the Demonstrator) owe to Uppercase Living, allowing you to keep your 20% Instant Commission. (The Demonstrator fills out the portion of the form called “Total – Remit to Uppercase Living” to calculate the amount due.) From March 1st on, it will not be necessary to send in the Hostess Totaling Form, but it will still be necessary for the Hostess to fill it out so that she can calculate and order her rewards.

• Calculate your 20% Instant Commission on Individual Orders: You are still able to retain your 20% Instant Commission on Individual Orders (orders that are not part of an Open House). When you begin entering orders online, UL Express will automatically figure out your 20% Instant Commission. During February, if you submit Individual Orders, you will need to calculate your 20% Instant Commission and adjust the amount you send to Uppercase Living accordingly. To do so, multiply the amount shown on line A of the Customer Order Form by 20% (.2) and subtract this amount from the total on line E. This will give you the amount you need to pay to Uppercase Living for this particular order.
