Sure, I am certain that it would make sense to the accountants who are in charge of the big companies, but to someone like me, I would like more rules when it comes to accounting as opposed to the approach where you can sum up the principles of a company. Rule Based vs. Principle Based Accounting Standards makes better sense to me, but of course I am not an accounting person by any standard. Then again, some of those major accountants in charge at one time sure did do a major portion of taking down the economy along with their company.
