I saw a man fall from his roof last week as he was up there trying to clean the roof. It was dumb on his part for being up there and trying to clean his own roof. For one I do not think he knew what he was doing because I saw him blasting the shingles with a pressure washer which I swear you are not supposed to do. Then I see him scrubbing them with a brush which cannot be good on them either. I knew he was in trouble when he slipped on the pressure hose two minutes before he fell. As he tried to step onto the ladder it gave and down he went. I only tell this story because he landed in some bushes and other than some minor bumps and bruises, he is fine. I do not recommend anyone do their own roof cleaning after seeing this man nearly kill him self just to save a few bucks. Not only did he endanger himself, I do not think he was even getting the roof clean. I also think he did more harm than good by cleaning is wrong with too much pressure. Roof cleaning is dangerous and should be left to roof cleaning professionals.
