I have to laugh when I tell this story of how my daughter has decided to travel this summer.  She has been looking into student travel opportunities and finally came upon some information on internships in Italy.  She has decided that while she can not speak a single word of Italian, she can still get a job or internship in Italy. This is ludicrous to me. I am all for any plan of hers that will take her to an English speaking country like Ireland, England or even Australia.  But Italy? I just don’t see that happening. Perhaps for her birthday, I should pay for her to take a class in how to speak Italian.
