The LPN Scope Of Practice although limited is still quite broad. They are assigned many different tasks by physicians and registered nurses. Other than the basic duty of feeding patients, taking their calls and changing the wounds and bedsore dressings they are even assigned other things. They have to keep medical records and other documents of patient in order, keep a check on the medical reactions, administer drugs; they may even be responsible for giving injections. At times they may even be asked to set procedure rooms. They need to maintain oxygen machines, catheters and order medical supplies to make sure that the medical facility is maintained.
